Prikamsky social institute was established in the 11^th of January, 2001

Tasks of PSI

• Ensuring equal opportunities for citizens in getting education and carrying out scientific work
• Using knowledge and experience of scientific body in the sphere of science, law, economics and management for further development of the Perm Region
• Co-operating with state structures, industrial establishments, institutions of science, culture and education for solving economical and social problems
• Satisfying increasing needs of the region for modern high-qualified personnel
• Improving institute sphere for forming worthy, moral personalities

The Strategy of PSI during 2007-2012

The Strategy orientates Prikamsky Social Institute towards consolidating its status as a prestigious competitive educational establishment, that ensures training of high-qualified specialists of higher education for the Western-Ural region, and as the institution of higher education that is a reliable partner in research work.

PSI intends to be an active member of the Association “Humanistic education “XXI century”, and also an educational, scientific and innovative institution, having stable regional and international contacts in the sphere of education and science.

The main work areas of the institute are educational, research and international work. During their development PSI will be orientated towards state educational standards, and also will take into account the requirements of parties involved, using its competitive advantages.

In the sphere of educational work it is supposed to raise the competitive ability of licensed professional lines; to search and discover new competitive ones; to continue developing further vocational education and further training of staff; to improve contacts with enterprises to train specialists; to improve co-operation with secondary schools; to develop multilevel system of education; to use new effective educational technologies.

In the sphere of research work the main attention will be focused on strengthening traditional scientific schools and forming new ones; activating innovative work; extending co-operation with enterprises on a contractual basis; further developing quality control systems; raising the effectiveness of scientific research; strengthening material and technical basis at the expense of incomes, received from realization of all institute work areas; raising economic effectiveness from introduced research activities.

In the field of international work it is planned to develop contacts with foreign educational establishments in the sphere of research work.

Development of the main institute work areas will be ensured by:

• Improving the system of motivation for personnel’s activation, saving and increasing the number of high-qualified personnel;
• Developing methodic and publishing work;
• Using new educational technologies in the educational process;
• Improving the skills of speaking foreign languages, informational technologies, law, and also economic education by way of education and further training of staff;
• Improving material and technical basis and working conditions with the help of different sources of financing;
• strengthening integration  of the academic process and science;
• developing  quality control system;
• extending the variety of extended vocational training services;
• developing the marketing of educational and search work;
• improving the library work.

One of the most important goals of the Strategy is the raising of finances, first of all in the sphere of research work and extended vocational education; and also it is the quest for new sources of financing and strengthening the interaction with the available ones. The realization of the Strategy is directed in the first place to satisfying the requirements of parties involved and the stable developing of the institute.

Prikamsky social institute is a non-state educational establishment of higher vocational education that trains specialists in the sphere of economics, management, psychology and law. Our goal is to train highly-qualified specialists to work in different organizations and enterprises of the country, the Perm Region and Perm. We are convinced that only everyday work of highest-quality will allow us to ensure high quality of graduates’ training, who will be in demand on the modern market of labour resources.

There is the following work in the sphere of education quality:

• raising the quality of specialists’ training, bringing the content and the level of specialists’ training into line with modern standards;
• constant monitoring of changing consumers’ demands;
• elaborating, mastering and inculcating new training technologies directed to raise the quality of education;
• using international experience to extend the variety of educational services and raise their quality; conducting social accreditation of the main institute educational programs;
• creating the quality control system;
• taking into account and analyzing research workers’ opinions and proposals, who study with the following acceptance of preventive and corrective actions;
• developing career-guidance and pre-university training, directed to attract young people who are interested in choosing their future profession;
• developing goal-oriented training of specialists, answering the increased requirements of enterprises-clients upon the content and the level of the graduates’ training ;
• giving young professors everything necessary for attracting them to active research work and for retaining them in the institute;
• constant improving educational resources materials and conditions for personnel and students’ work;
• integrating educational process and scientific research;
• maintaining high quality and creating conditions for professional development of higher-education teaching personnel;
• guaranteeing personnel and students best conditions for a productive work;
• improving control of material and finance resources.

The administration of the institute undertakes:

• to inform all parties involved about the Politics and make it clear to them;
• to provide with resources,  raise effectiveness and improve the system of quality management.
